Men are more vain then women? The Unspoken Man Code has many rules. Next pitchers on us. Crying in any movie rated PG or below No. The eyes forward to the urinal at any time. Never admit you're worried about another way you look. Its doubtful that youll hear many men ask anybody how they appear in their jeans, or if their back hair is getting too Konglike or if that flabby jiggle hanging over the belt that is something to be worried. While it may be common for women to articulate their insecurities of the body (in the hope that men reject, perhaps), people rarely say anything about them. Thats because theyre afraid that women label as too vain, too weak, too metro, too feminine, too devoid of confidence they want and expect in a man. But the truth is that men care about their appearance almost as much as Lindsay Lohan is worried about New Years Eve. The survey I did for my book Men, Love & Sex has shown that 9 out of 10 men arent satisfied with their appearance - and that theyd jump the chance to change a particular part of their body if they could. Consider these truths about men and their appearance - and then ask yourself: Whos really more rooms, women ... or men? Women can buy more shoes, but the men dropped the big bucks. When asked what hed pay for rock-hard abs (if it were only that easy), the average man would invest $ 5000 of his own money in himself. For movie-star looks in general, drop hed $ 17,600. The most disturbing fact Although women actually pay for cosmetic enhancements, the men who seek medical help for their appearance are twice as likely to opt for a cosmetic invasive procedure such as liposuction, rather than a non-invasive aspect of boost. Men care more about their breasts than you. Check this out Only 34 percent of women surveyed said theyd want bigger breasts, but 38 percent of men said theyd want large pectoral muscles. (In case you were wondering, the average mans chest circumference is two inches larger than that of a womans.) Male or having the Pecs that are strong enough to crack his knuckles, or have been subjected to man-beards everywhere boob. And that hurts. Pecs like beating the issue to the top of the body of men with the smallest ranges of just over 40 percent of kids say the intestine is the part of the body No. 1 theyd like to change. 1.1 billion U.S. dollars can buy a lot of hair gel. One of the biggest keys mans comes when you look at the shower drain and says goodbye to the crown, which defines his manhood. American men spend more than $ 300 million a year toupee. And 800 million dollars on hair transplants (up to 20,000 $ for each procedure, which runs on more than 24,000 men each year and only 7000 women). Now ladies, you may be tempted to denigrate this as further evidence of wimpification of the American male. Or say that men are the new women. But let this through a bit '. Vanity, of course, can be superficial and self-obsessive. As always, if you take anything to extremes, becomes a liability. But this time a year, in particular, the vanity, properly calibrated, can be a useful form of self-evaluation. And indeed, as we look has direct corollaries in a healthy way we are. What Jiggly gut or flabby chest can be a warning of dangerously low metabolism, a first alarm signal of high blood pressure, diabetes, even heart disease. And if we take the advice on what they are, and act for change, our vanity just might turn it around us in the short term, and help save lives in the long term. They think that men have their priorities appearance in the right place? Or should be worried about something else when it comes to their image and looks? Let me know.
